Kelli picKelli Lakis has been a fitness professional for decades (yikes!)—and even won a bodybuilding competition fresh out of college. But it wasn’t until she moved to Boulder, Colorado, that she became addicted to the outdoors: mountain biking, trail running, skiing. Why go to a gym when you have mountains in your backyard? But when she discovered how spinning translated to improved performance outside, she was hooked and started teaching classes way back in 1998.  Kelli believes that if you can’t do it outside on a bike, you shouldn’t do it in a cycling class.  So you’ll ride to the music—everything from Cirque du Soleil and Dixie Chicks to Black Eyed Peas and The Who—and leave feeling like you’ve just single-tracked the Rockies (this chick loves to climb!). Kelli also believes that with a positive attitude, you can do anything. At the start of the San Diego marathon a few years back, her third metatarsal completely snapped in half…and she still finished the race.

You will also find that Jeff likes to use the TV monitors in the studio.
